French property expert, HGTV’s House HuntersInternational personality, published journalist and author, event coordinator, marketing, public relations and communications expert—Adrian Leeds® arrived in Paris in 1994 with more than 21 years of experience in marketing and public relations, not to mention a daughter. In her need to survive in the City of Light as a single mother, she created a variety of businesses devoted to assisting other expats in their quest to fulfill a dream to live in France. Her company, the Adrian Leeds Group, is a licensed real estate agency offering complete property consultation services primarily for North Americans and other Anglophones wanting to live and/or invest in France.
On September 27, 2021 at the Splendid Hotel in Nice, France, we will kick off our conference with moving-to-France and property expert, Adrian Leeds. She—along with our local, on the ground experts—will teach you how easy it can be to make your dream come true… to have the right to live in France and to find a property to rent or buy anywhere in France your heart desires.
Our cast of experts will not only walk you through the process of how to acquire a visa, they will shine a spotlight on what living your best life on the French Riviera can be. Whether in the enclaves along the coast, or perched hilltop villages, or in the heart of Nice, our experts will provide you with current information about properties on the market and review what you can expect to spend on a purchase or a rental. This is your chance to get to know the famous and fabulous Cote d’Azur!
If you don’t already know Nice and the French Riviera, it’s true, Nice is nice!
Nice is the hub of the entire Riviera. It’s a cosmopolitan city with a lot of life, a real heart, and superb inner-city transportation so you don’t need a car to enjoy it fully. The Mediterranean Sea is on its doorstep and the weather is mild and very sunny (they claim 300 days a year of sunshine). Property is half the price of Paris’ real estate and the beach lifestyle is much more relaxed. It’s easy to understand why Nice is both a great place to live and travel to.
Nice has a welcoming international community that makes you feel very much at home among the locals. Not knowing the language is less of an issue, thanks to the many non-French speaking residents and visitors, and there is no shortage of activities for internationals in Nice and the nearby Côte d’Azur communities.
During our time together in Nice, starting with a full day of informative conference sessions and ending with cocktails (!), you’ll get to meet lots of folks who have the same desire to enrich their lives in France as you do. We’ll introduce you to our “boots on the ground” contacts and make sure you get answers to all your questions. You’ll come away with new friends and a host of valuable resources—everything you need to know about living, investing or retiring in France.
Arrival and check-in at the Splendid Hotel in Nice where we have arranged a special discounted group room rate. Relax and enjoy!
Conference Day – Prepare for a full day of insightful presentations. We’ll treat you to lunch and an evening reception with our experts where you’ll rub elbows and learn even more about living and wisely investing in France!

Get ready for a full day exploring the Cote d’Azur by motor coach! The breathtaking beauty of the blue jeweled coastline is sure make you want to return.
We will venture out to see multiple properties in the Nice area during a special Open House, and then have fun with new-found friends at our farewell cocktail reception!
You can register for the first three days of the program––the Conference, the tour of the Riviera and the Open House, without registering for the Tour to Provence and the Occitanie. These three days with us in Nice are limited to 100 participants. The conference will take place at the Splendid Hotel where we have negotiated a discounted group room rate. (You are not required to book your stay at the Splendid Hotel.)
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the French countryside in person with Adrian Leeds, also accompanied by professional tour guides who will educate and entertain us.
Join us as we explore Provence and the Occitanie over five glorious days. We will travel by luxury coach together, staying in the region’s most charming hotels and enjoying the fresh and healthy cuisine of the South of France—when the weather is just turning a bit cool. It’s the perfect time of year to discover this magnificent region of France.
In the morning, we’ll depart from Nice by luxury motor coach and drive to Aix-en-Provence, famous for its outdoor markets and handsome pedestrian lanes, as well as its cultivated residents and their ability to embrace the good life. Nowhere else in France is l’art de vivre (the art of living) so well on display. Aix is also ancient: a Celtic-Ligurian capital from the 3rd century BC was pushed aside for the founding of Aix in 122 BC, as Aquae Sextiae. Aix-en-Provence is also a university city, and was the birthplace of Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cézanne.
After checking into our hotel located in the heart of Aix-en-Provence on a street in the oldest part of the city just parallel to the famous Cours Mirabeau, we will stop for lunch and a visit at the Caumont Museum. The Hotel de Caumont – Centre d’Art is located in the Mazarin neighborhood, the southern and aristocratic part of Aix-en-Provence. Demonstrating Parisian influences, the Hotel de Caumont is a mansion built “between courtyard and garden” with an architectural design that appeared in Paris in the 16th century—a chateau and its park on an urban scale.
Your evening is on your own to explore and get to know the city. We will spend only one night in Aix-en-Provence, and I’m sure you’ll want to return to get to know it even better!
From Aix-en-Provence, we’ll head out first thing in the morning to “one of the most beautiful villages in France”—Lourmarin. Nestled in the middle of vineyards, olive groves and almond trees in the region known as the Luberon, Lourmarin is quite an animated village in the summer due to its numerous café terraces, restaurants and boutiques, and its well-known Friday morning open-air market. This is why we chose a Friday to visit the village—so you can shop until your heart’s content for all the specialties this area of Provence has to offer. Located next to the market area is the majestic Chateau de Lourmarin—the very first Renaissance castle built in Provence. The chateau hosts young artists in residence during the summer, and concerts, conferences, and exhibitions throughout the year.
We plan to show you two magnificent homes for sale in Lourmarin (if they are not sold in the meantime, and if time permits). One is a village house in the heart of Lourmarin, and the other is an elaborate “mas” with six studio self-catering apartments, a large pool and all the amenities that make for a perfect auberge or bed and breakfast.
After our visit in Lourmarin, journey with us to discover the wines of Provence at the Domaine de Fontenille in Lauris. Once a family home, the now luxury hotel features two eateries—one a Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Champ des Lunes.
We will enjoy a four-course luncheon at La Cuisine d’Amélie while sitting on the southern terraces of the country house, in the shade of hundred year-old plane trees. This restaurant proposes a simple but inventive cuisine centered on the flagship products of the region. The menu is constantly changing depending on the seasonality of products and the inspiration of the chef. We will taste numerous dishes and sip wines from the Fontenille vineyard!
After lunch, we’ll pass by the hilltop Luberon villages of Bonnieux, Gordes and Menerbes nestled among vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields. For a special treat, we’ll stop for a tour of Roussillon located in the very heart of the biggest ochre deposits in the world. Ochre deposits lend a natural reddish-brown hue to the village of Roussillon, giving the entire area the nickname—“Colorado Provençal.” It’s tough to decide which of these hilltop towns is most beautiful or has the most to offer, but our tour will give you a taste and a chance to decide for yourself.
We will arrive in time for dinner (on your own) in the walled city of Avignon—where we will stay for three nights at the four-star hotel Cloitre Saint Louis—a short walk from the Palais des Papes (Pope’s Palace) and the famous Pont d’Avignon (bridge). This charming hotel is located in a 16th-century building combining historic and modern structures in the heart of Avignon. Initially a Jesuit novitiate, Cloitre Saint-Louis became a military hospital in addition to an annex of the Hotel des Invalides in Paris over the course of several centuries. After a thorough renovation, Cloitre Saint-Louis has been a cultural center and four-star hotel since 1991.
Rise and shine! We’re headed first to the renowned Pont du Gard, a true masterpiece of ancient architecture. This 2,000-year old aqueduct is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built halfway through the 1st-century AD, it is the principal part of a 50 kilometer-long three-level aqueduct standing 50 meters high that supplied water to the city of Nimes (formerly known as Nemausus and where denim was first made).
After our visit to Pont du Gard, we’ll take in a relaxing lunch in Uzès, often called the “First Duchy of France.” A blend of Medieval, Renaissance and classical styles, the Duchy of Uzès—or ducal castle—is one of the flagship sites of the city. We’ll take our time in this village steeped in history to discover the gothic chapel and its superb stained glass windows, the splendid Renaissance façade of the central building, the furnished apartments, the cellar and the Bermonde Tower, an imposing 11th century keep offering a wonderful view of the rooftops of the historic center.
We’ll savor lunch at the celebrated Midi à l’Ombre, a “bistronomic” traditional kitchen with service in the garden under the shade of a majestic hackberry tree on the edge of Uzès with free time to explore. This should have us fueled up for what’s to come—an afternoon and evening exploring the Roman city of Nimes.
Nimes offers Romanesque antiquities, as well as contemporary architecture, the discreet splendor of private mansions, and the grandeur of the Jardins de la Fontaine laid out in the 18th-century on a Roman site. We’ll spend our afternoon touring the old town and its treasures, including fine monuments inherited from the Romans – the arena and the Maison Carrée, a majestic Roman temple that has been restored. In addition to the monuments, the old town also has its own showpieces. The historic center of Nimes has relics from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, while also boasts elements of the classical period and the haughty designs of the nineteenth century when the industry prospered in the city.
In Nimes, we’ll have dinner on our own before heading to Avignon for a good night’s sleep.
Today we’ll go exploring first to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, an ancient mid-river town surrounded by a moat of flowing water with an interesting history dating back to the 12th-century, and a plethora of antique shops that have earned the town a worldwide reputation. The numerous canals and branches of the Sorgue have given the town the nickname—”Venice of the Comtat.”.The weekly open-air market with about 300 vendors will be in full bloom on this fine Sunday afternoon. There is an array of cafés and restaurants to choose from for lunch along the water’s edge before we move on to tour les Carrières des Lumières at Les Baux-de-Provence—a picturesque Medieval village between Arles and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
In the heart of the Alpilles, the monumental “Carrieres de Lumieres” hosts extraordinary multimedia shows which are unique in the world. Expect to be totally immersed in the images projected onto all the floors, walls and surfaces of the limestone quarry rock becoming a vast carpet of colorful images. This year’s display features “Cezanne, maitre de la Provence.”
Next, we’ll visit the quaint town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, built from honey-colored stone and centered on a lovely, plane-shaded square lined by cafes. Known for the many artists and intellectuals who have resided here, this picturesque village is where you’ll find all the charm of a typical Provençal way of life.
We will walk to Palais des Papes (Pope’s Palace) a World Heritage site by UNESCO and one of the 10 most visited monuments in France with 650,000 visitors per year. A true symbol of the influence of Western Christianity in the 14th century, this 15,000 square meter masterpiece of a monument is the largest medieval fortress and gothic palace in Europe.
Offering countless and incomparable riches, as much architectural as pictorial, the palace plunges visitors into the heart of the splendor of the papal court. A good hour is needed to discover the more than 25 rooms open to the public: the ceremonial halls, the courtroom, the consistory, the chapels with their magnificent frescoes by the famous painter Matteo Giovanetti and the Pope’s private apartments.
And that’s just a glimpse of our schedule, literally “the tip of the iceberg.” As the time nears and we get further along with the arrangements, we’ll fill you in with even more of the details.
In addition to being a top-notch program—including memorable travel experiences and incredibly valuable contacts and connections—this conference and tour represent a tremendous value.
In all likelihood, you would find it nearly impossible on your own to arrange a meeting with all the contacts we have lined up for you. What’s more, access to just one of the professionals we’ll have on hand could cost you several hundreds of dollars for only a few hours of time. But as part of this program, you’ll meet with and hear from a collection of insider experts available at each stop along our expedition to answer your questions and share their insights.
It could easily cost you $15,000… $20,000… or perhaps even or more to arrange this kind of experience on your own, and frankly it can be hard to know who to trust when you’re outside your home country.
We cut through all the red tape and connect you with our experts in France so that you can skip all the preliminary homework and research.
We deliver the time-saving, money-saving, trouble-saving secrets you need so you can get settled easily, quickly, affordably, and enjoyably.
I encourage you to act fast to reserve your seat today.
